Ghost

Gallows

Corner

About this Post: For this post these are some of the best pictures taken at Bannack Ghost Town. I tried to choose pictures that are unique from perspectives that others might not have considered in the past. There are specific explanations of each picture in the information below.

Title: Ghost
Date/Time: 5/25/11, 12:02 PM
Location: Bannack, MT
F-Stop: f/22.0
Shutter Speed: 5.0
Camera: Canon EOS 60D
Other: The subject was in the frame for about 2 seconds and then left and the shutter was left open for an additional 3 seconds. I turned it black and white afterwards in Photoshop.

Title: Gallows
Date/Time: 5/25/11, 2:18 PM
Location: Bannack, MT
F-Stop: f/22
Shutter Speed: 1/80
Camera: Canon EOS 60D
Other: This picture was taken through the window of the Jail. Out the window there is a strait shot to the gallows. I backed up to the very back of the jail cell and then zoomed in to bring the gallows closer. Back in the day when the gallows were being used there would have been a building blocking this view but I still liked it.

Title:Bottle
Date/Time: 5/25/11, 2:00 PM
Location: Bannack, MT
F-Stop: f/1.8
Shutter Speed: 1/1000
Camera: Canon EOS 60D
Other: I liked the look of this bottle and so I took a picture from directly over top. I turned it sepia in Photoshop by desaturating it and changing the hue.

Title: Boardwalk
Date/Time: 5/25/11, 11:46 AM
Location: Bannack, MT
F-Stop: f/3.5
Shutter Speed: 1/500
Camera: Canon EOS 60D
Other: This is a picture of the boardwalk in Bannack, Montana. I put the camera on the ground and took the picture with a shallow depth of field. It was one of the first pictures that I took.

Title: Corner
Date/Time: 5/25/11, 10:53 AM
Location: Bannack, MT
F-Stop: f/6.3
Shutter Speed: 1/800
Camera: Canon EOS 60D
