Flexible Editing

About this Blog:
Turns out that I have been destroying my images in the past. Pixels have been dying and I was basically a mass murderer of pixels. However, I have decided to turn over a new leaf. I believe that pixels and people can live in harmony together. The secret is to use "non-destructive editing." Using Smart filters and Adjustment layers gives you the flexibility to undo what you did and not destroy the original picture. No pixels were harmed in the editing of these pictures.

Title: Pink Flower
Date/Time: 5/7/11, 1:57 PM
Location: Rexburg, ID
F-Stop: f/14
Shutter Speed: 1/15
Other: For this picture I took it into Photoshop and did two adjustment layers. I used Vibrance and Color Balance. I then used the brush tool and revealed the flower in the color balance layer.

Title: Pot
Date/Time: 4/30/11, 7:18 PM
Location: West Jordan, UT
F-Stop: f/5.6
Shutter Speed: 1/60
Other: I used a smart filter and put a gaussain blur filter on it to give it more boca and then revealed the pot and part of the wood with the paint brush.
